They’re starting nice and early this year, with Red Bull Racing Australia revealing their new driver and livery today in a featuring all three of the team’s drivers. At first glance, the livery is very different to the 2015 car, with a the whole side of the car in a lighter shade of blue, which fades out back to the usual navy blue via polka dots. The rear wing too is in this new colour. However, on close inspection, not much has really changed. The new 2016 livery (top) and the 2015 livery (bottom). Zip Code Msa Crosswalk Ecards.

Apart from the lighter blue on the side, the car is virtually the same. Apart from that, a similar fade on the red sections and less a couple of lightning bolts, the design is virtually unchanged. The giant Red Bull logo and the red on the splitter and skirts act as a template, within which some changes have been made. From a sponsorship perspective, Toshiba seems to have left the part and despite becoming the livery dictating sponsor on Lowndes’ car, Caltex have also kept their logo on the two main Red Bull machines. This is by no means a bad livery, and it’s refreshing to see a slight shake up in the predictable Red Bull livery.

V8 Supercar Liveries 2016

It’s a livery that unfortunately won’t see much variation throughout its existence, so when a change like this are made, we certainly have to make the most of it. Just as a side note, I’ve added a side by side comparison to the 2016 Bottle-O livery launch article, and I will try to do this for all future launches. Christmas has come early! The thing I anticipate more than anything during the off-season is livery launches, and we’ve got one before the year is even over!

Seeing Winterbottom in the Bottle-O machine will take some getting used to, as will be the case with a number of other sponsor and driver changes next season. The car synonymous with David Reynolds will be piloted by Frosty next season, with a big number 1 on the side. Not many pictures yet, but there are a few changes to the livery from last season. The Bottle-O logo has a nice thick black border this year, after starting 2015 without a border at all. Devil’s Cut is gone as a secondary sponsor, which helps to simplify the livery by removing the extra gold colour.

This allows the bonnet to be green, as well as the rims, which is makes quite a big difference. I think I may have preferred the gold rims, but green spokes with a silver outer rim looks very nice. What a relief. Don’t have a particularly clear view of the bonnet, but it looks as though Castrol may have added a darker shade of green behind their own logo, which is a real shame. If a two tone green was over the entire car it could have looked nice, but a second shade of green appearing only on the bonnet is just annoying.

The car is already green, is your special shade of green really necessary? Apparently yes, says Mr. Marketing Manager of Castrol.

I could be wrong though, it may only look like that from the angle of this photo. The black section is bordered by white and has a matte finish, which is popular these days. It works well, although the faux Falcon design is kind of awkward in its angular and swooping design. The only thing that really stands out in a bad way is Orrcon Steel. It’s great that Orrcon has supported Winterbottom for all these years, just a shame it matches so poorly with the livery.

In the end, a nice looking car and one we are used to seeing on the grid, just not with this driver inside! The rear wing endplate now has a super patriotic American flag on it, which is has been added for Alex Rossi’s home Grand Prix. He is the first American to race at home since Scott Speed.

The best part is that it suits the car just fine. The colours match and that’s important. Another addition is that of sponsor Coupons.com. Not the classiest logo to appear on an F1 car, but props to them for adjusting the colour of their logo to match the Manor livery as well. The Manor livery is the empty livery it once was and every single one of the new sponsors matches the colour scheme.
