Fundations® is based upon the Wilson Reading Principles and is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 program designed to provide high quality classroom instruction for all students, as well as double dose instruction for those students requiring more targeted intervention. Each Fundations® workshop aligns with that grade’s Common Core Reading Foundational Skills. This workshop provides a practical application of reading research and will prepare teachers to teach Fundations® in Prevention (Tier 1) and/or Early Intervention (Tier 2) settings. Prior to joining the Stern Center in 2010, Paula was a reading specialist at Westford School for twenty years. She was also a Developmental Reading Assessment trainer for the Department of Education for eight years. Paula has completed the Wilson Reading System, Level 1, Multisensory Language Training Program, and is a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner.
